Flat Street runs on the north side of the Whetstone Brook, lower than Elliot Street. The grade between those two streets is steep, on the order of forty feet, which is why some buildings show a short face up the hill and a taller face down here. We are at street level. The door faces the street, not the water. You may hear the brook. In March it is loud. In July it is easier to miss.

Wantastiquet is to the east, across the Connecticut River, in New Hampshire. You do not need the mountain to find the shop. You need the number 48 on the glass, and the name Oven Lark. The room is one room. If the numbers are climbing the wrong way, turn around.

We have no lot. Do not block a loading space and call it a minute. Use a public lot and read the signs. The transportation center is on this street, and there is a public lot across from it. On foot from Main Street, come down toward the brook and turn along Flat Street. The rail station is toward Depot Street. It is not in this room, and we do not offer a tour of town.

Kitchens up on Elliot and kitchens down here do not dry the same way, and they do not share one oven width. That is why we ask you to measure a rack before you buy the big sheet or the 12 inch skillet. The steel does not care which floor you live on. The damp does.
