Terms

These rules cover sales and sharpening at Oven Lark, 48 Flat Street, Brattleboro, VT 05301. This is not a law firm’s document. It is what we say at the bench, written down so the Saturday version matches the Tuesday version.

Prices are in US dollars and can change when steel or wood does. The figure on the shelf is the price before tax. Vermont tax is added at the register. We take cash and cards.

Pans leave with a thin coat of grapeseed seasoning. That coat is not a promise against sticking. You cook the rest of it on. A pan that has been cooked in cannot come back. An unused pan, still in the condition you carried out, can come back within 14 days with the receipt, for a refund at the price you paid.

Spoons that are unstained and uncracked can come back within 14 days. A spoon that has been in the pot cannot. We do not glue a split neck.

Sheet pans that are unused and still straight can come back within 14 days. A warped pan, or a pan with food burned on, cannot. We do not un-warp steel. The five twisted half sheets on the back wall are the proof, and they are not inventory.

Bench scrapers, unused, can come back within 14 days. Once we have put an edge on a scraper you brought in, the sharpening fee stays paid even if you later want it duller. Same for a re-season once the oven cycle has run. We can refuse a cracked pan, a knife, or a coated pan before we start. If we break a tool through our own carelessness, we replace it with a like tool from the shelf or we refund what you paid us for that job.

We are not responsible for a handle that burns a wrist. The handle is steel. It gets hot, and it stays hot. Use a towel. Shipping, when we agree to it by a message you send to desk@ovenlark.shop, is extra and quoted before anything leaves. The form on this site is not an order and does not send mail. Local pickup at the bench is the normal sale.

Hours on the phone message beat hours on the site when a storm closes Flat Street. A dispute about a sale at this counter is a Vermont matter. If a sign on the door fights a sentence here, ask us, and we will fix the sentence or the sign before the next open day.
